01 / The process need

The process need

A missing part, incorrect orientation or omitted step can reach the next operation. The starting point is identifying the specific error to prevent or detect and the point where verification must occur.

Our approach

We review the process and product variants to propose mechanical, sensing or control measures. Together we define the condition that allows the sequence to continue, how results are communicated and what happens when a check fails.

Scope we can define with you

01

Definition of the condition and variants to verify

02

Mechanical device or sensor integration for the application

03

PLC logic when included in the project

04

Agreed checks using representative samples

Deliverables, checks and responsibilities are detailed in each project proposal.

Information to get started

  • Error description and where it occurs
  • Representative conforming and nonconforming parts
  • Current sequence, equipment and available signals
  • Acceptance criteria and expected response to a failed check

What to review

  • Detection of the specific error
  • Response to missing or invalid conditions
  • Clear indications for the operator
  • Compatibility with variants and the existing sequence

Questions about this application

01Does a poka-yoke always require a PLC?

It depends on the application. Geometry that only allows correct positioning may be sufficient. Other checks require sensors, logic and communication with the equipment.

02Can it be added to an existing workstation?

We review space, interfaces, available diagrams and control access to define a feasible modification and the review needed before intervention.

03How is its function checked?

We agree on scenarios using representative parts and conditions, including known errors. The scope defines the checks and how results are documented.

Let’s turn your need into a clear scope.
